I hope everyone had a good weekend and Easter. Next weekend will be a writing weekend for me. For three hours a day I’ll be at the library writing. One to two hours of each day I’ll be taking the little man to the gym so he can play in the little toddler area while Mommy gets her bootie movin’. We’re going to try that today after work and see if he likes it. Dad needs a break from the constant chatter of our “almost talking” toddler. LOL.
On the writing front I’m doing well. New Tortuga is on my mind now more than ever.
I hope you are all doing well and I’ll chat with you soon.

My publisher and I discussed New Tortuga and we both felt there were more stories to tell than the seven days of the week. So we are now opening up NT to a series heading. There will be no more days of the week and Monday’s Child is getting a facelift. The new series will launch in a few months. I’ll keep you updated as we go.
In other news, I submitted a manuscript to Tease Publishing for their Dark Tarot line. Wish me luck!

Man! So I rarely do these meme’s. They actually drive me crazy to write since I can never think of anything. BUT, my husband actually tagged me with this one, and since he hates these as much as I do, I might as well suffer too.
So without further ado, five sordid facts about me…
1. I’ve talked my way out of 10 speeding tickets. Three were non-negotiable, but having a sense of humor helped those other 10 times. Since I’ve had my son, my speed demon days really are gone LOL.
2. My truck was hit by an 18-wheeler when I was a teenager. Both the 18 wheeler driver and I met, chatted, and we both took off. Neither one of us wanted to file a report and I wasn’t insured at the time. Strangely enough, I could drive the truck but the front end was never the same ROFL.
3. My senior year in high school, I’d go over to a friend’s house for the weekend then bail in the middle of the night for a two hour drive to the Gulf of Mexico. My friends were cool with me taking off on my own since my family life had been a wreck at the time. Contemplating life at the edge of the ocean for a weekend was much better than losing my mind. What can I say, I was an angsty teenager.
4. I lost my virginity at my boyfriend’s family reunion. Yes…I know. ROFL.
5. When I’m in a new place I network like crazy and get everyone to hang out so that when I slip away later for “me” time, they won’t notice. LOL. If I’m away from home for 3-6 months, for the first half of that time I’ll be a social butterfly. Get all kinds of fun morale-building things going. Then for the last half I’ll stick to my tent in the off time or library/reading room. It makes me seem antisocial but I figure by then they’ve had so much fun (and continue to have tons of fun) they won’t notice me out of the way.
So since I got to enjoy the shaking the skeletons out of my closet, I’m going to tag a few more people. hehe. Warning, some of the links will NOT be work friendly. I’ll be tagging my crit group. Dawn Montgomery because I KNOW she’s got a lot of skeletons in her closet LOL. Kim Knox. :) Her history is full of interesting and awesome fun details. Michelle Hasker. She’s gonna kick my butt when she reads the tag Mwahahaha. Kim and Michelle both tagged me a while back and I haven’t forgotten mwahahahahaa.

Sven’s going on again starting on the 1st of March.
I can’t participate this time as I’ve got an advancement exam coming up right in the middle. I’ll hopefully have some cool news to post soon.
*hugs*

Thank you all for the wonderful emails and comments left here. I’ve been truly touched by your concern. My father’s health is a rollercoaster.
On the writing front, Tuesday’s Child will be in to my editor by the end of the month. We’ll be on a two month release schedule thereafter for the remaining sci fi series. Aspen has been more than patient with my family’s health problems.
Blessings on the new year, may it bring you joy and happiness.

Hey gang. Just got the word. Dad’s pulled through. Three surgeries and severe complications filled the past two weeks, not to mention intense worry and fear. He’s out of the thicket, but not out of the woods yet. It’ll be a long and slow recovery. I want to thank everyone who’s commented and sent me emails about him. My family sends you warm hugs and virtual hot chocolate. Merry Christmas.
